October 25, 2008 - Williams' Wedding Celebration
We actually drove them on the roads over the park (about a block away). Many of the attendees loved petting on them and one young girl was just taken with Bloom. I gave her a cart ride and she declared her love of horses to me (a girl after my own heart) and said she loved Bloom best of all. We even had professional photos made of the bride and groom in the cart with Bloom that I hope to add later when I get a copy. It was a luau so all the guests, including the horses, got leis to wear.

June 21, 2008 - Winterville Retirement Center Visit It ended up sprinkling rain that morning (when it had been dry for forever!). But, we went anyway. We took Luna, Jammer and Bloom. The turnout might have been light due to the rain, but we had several residents who came out on the front porch to visit with "the little horses". Many were amazed at their small size and they enjoyed petting and loving on them. Because some residents might have stayed indoors due to the weather, we asked if we could take Luna inside (since they had mostly carpet we knew she could walk well onit). You should have seen the surprise on some of the faces when a tiny horse showed up inside and at thier doors.

May 2007 - Weldon's Birthday Party Kids and ponies....just a natural combination! We took Baroque and Romeo. Baroque was very good for being a young stud. And Romeo....of course we had to show off his tricks.

May 5, 2007 Baptist Church Senior Get Together Despite being quite "nippy" weather-wise, many of the seniors enjoyed seeing "the little horses". Luna enjoyed a romp around Groten place. Richard had to pick her up to keep her still long enough for some pats. Even little Jack was nice and allowed everyone to pet on him without him biting someone.

February 2007 - Priscilla's Birthday Party Priscilla had mentioned to Richard that she had never had a surprise birthday party so what does a good son do? Get his girlfriend to organize a party! With lots of help, we pulled off one heck of a surprise party for Priscilla, her church friends and her red-hat friends. Click here for the entire story.

2006 - Trip to visit Carlton When God closes a door, he always opens a window. I've always loved that saying. I think this story qualifies. We had planned to go to the Hartwell Christmas parade but it was way too cold for us. But we had another wonderful opportunity to share the minis. Click here for the entire story |

2006- Visit to see Lorri Lorri was dianosed with Stage IV breast cancer at 39 years of age. She was one of the strongest and most self-less people I have seen during her struggle. She loved horses and couldn't get out much to see her own, big horse. So, we took a small one to see her! I could not believe how her face lit up and how she smiled that day. October 24, 2005 - Visit to Ms. Moore's Fifth Grade Class What do you get when you have three minis and about three HUNDRED children? Contolled chaos. I love my sister enough that when she asked me to bring some of the minis to her school, I agreed. It was SO windy that day that we almost lost all of our props and jumps to the wind! But, I think the kids loved it and had a great time. We had each mini perform various things like trail, jumping, driving and then we let the kids come in groups and pet on them and brush them.

May 29, 2004 - Visit to Comer Nursing Home Grady said his mother would LOVE to see the little horses. She had horses when she was younger but now she was confined to a nursing home. So, we took Blossom and baby Bloom (only two months old) to visit. Not only was Grady's mom in attendence, but MANY others! It was wonderful to see how well both horses did - they were very gentle while people pet all over them and they weaved in and out of wheelchairs quietly.
