Crawfordville Labor Day Parade September 2003

So the Bark-ini contest wasn't enough......Tammy Breckenridge and I came up with the neat idea to show my new miniature horse, Romeo and her English Mastiff, Thunder as a "dog and pony show" in a local Labor Day parade. I don't think the folks of Crawfordville, Georgia had ever seen a Mastiff before and we constantly heard gasps all day about his size. If we had a dollar for every time someone said "the dog is bigger than the horse!", we'd be rich! Plus, there was one older gentleman who just couldn't get it that Thunder was not a "bulldog".

Poor Romeo and Thunder were good sports about the whole thing - letting us hang poster boards from them that read "Dog and Pony Show".

Romeo does not realize that he is "little" -see him checking out my friend's appaloosa, Pecos (before the parade). He tried to nip and kick at him all day -at the end of the day Romeo was still pestering Pecos! Pecos took it well.

Matt's daughter, Naomi, took a little ride on Romeo before the parade.
