| When we clipped Penny this spring, we did think he coloring was beautiful. Penny has never been anything, to my knowledge, other than a broodmare. She must have been handled alot because she does have a very nice temperment, though. So, when I sent her north with my friend, Deb, so that Penny could be bred to a stallion in Pennsylvania, Deb got the bright idea that Penny should be shown and have her chance to "win a ribbon" rather than just be a mom. So, she got Penny all prettied up and took her to a local AMHR show. To our surprise, Penny actually got a BLUE ribbon in color as well as high placings in Liberty (she does have a pretty trot!). Penny actually got 1 Hall of Fame point in Liberty. So, I guess this was her 15 minutes of fame and now she goes back to being a mom. But, she can say that she is a blue ribbon winner! | ||
