He's here! After many months of waiting, my little BTU son has arrived. He is almost exactly what we wished for - a bay tobiano colt with two blue eyes! (I say "almost" because we wanted a buckskin tobiano) The wonderful thing is that I got to be there for the entire event. Blossom was gracious enough to wait until I got home from work (barely) and delivered at 5:35 pm Monday, March 6th. We didn't have to be awakened during the night this time like we did with Bloom.
I don't know for sure what the name will be but I'm thinking of Southern Crystal Buckeroo Baroque. So, for now, I'll refer to him as "Baroque" in the photos below. |

| BTU has won the AMHA National Grand Champion Senior Stallion title in 1996 culminating his impressively successful show ring career. He recently won 2006 Champion Get of sire at the AMHR National Show. BTU's grandsire, Buckeroo, is probably the most well known miniature stallion today. He won three Grand Champion Senior Stallion titles and is the only stallion to be awarded three years consecutively the AMHA National Grand Champion Get of Sire titles (92,93,94) |

| We were expecting Blossom to foal during the night, so we didn't have her confined to the stall. She did go into the stall to have her baby but the angle of my property (sloped) kind of made the baby roll "out" of the stall. As you can see, the news made the headlines quickly! Here I am on the phone to friends during the process. |

| My stallion, Jammer, was stalled next door and he knew that something exciting was happening on the lower side of the barn. He just wasn't quiet tall enough to see everything. |

Tammy Breckenridge was there for the blessed event and she just couldn't help but love on the baby. She wanted to take him home with her. |
It took Baroque a while to figure out the nursing thing. This was one successful attempt but it sure would have been easier if he had aligned himself the other way. |
