"Luna" was born on a Saturday night - just after a total lunar eclipse and during the full moon. So, it was obvious that her name should have something to do with the moon.
She is our first totally homebred foal and we couldn't be more pleased with the combination that Jammer and Blossom turned out. What a nicely marked little girl - you can't see it in the photos here but she has nice little "cat tracks" on both sides and two sparkling blue eyes.
Luna, unfortunately, had to have colic surgery at only 4 weeks old. She recovered nicely and went on to a stellar weanling show career despite her early surgery. She even managed a top ten at the 2007AMHA World show against grown mares in the Multi-Color class and she pulled an AMHA Honor Roll in Multi Color mares for the year.
Luna is showing in 2010 as a senior mare 28" and under. She got unanimous firsts at her first show in the 30" and under class as well as the multi-color mare class.
